A Czech trade fair is useful when it brings a company closer to a specific buyer, partner or operating decision. Choose the event by the function you need in Czechia, then arrange the relevant conversations before travelling.
MSV Brno 2026 has closed, but the next meeting opportunity depends on what a foreign company is trying to build. A transport supplier looking for fleet operators needs a different room from an electronics company seeking integrators. A smart-city developer may be better served by a municipal event than by a broad industrial fair.
This calendar selects confirmed events from October 2026 to September 2027 with a plausible role in Czech market entry. It includes one retail congress because its Business Arena is designed for supplier–retailer meetings. The dates come from organisers' pages checked on 9 October 2026; programmes, registration and meeting options should be confirmed again before booking travel.
The next dates in 2026
| Date | Event and location | Who should consider it | Purpose to define before visiting |
|---|---|---|---|
| 21–23 October | Future Forces Exhibition & Forum, Prague | Defence, security, robotics, cyber and critical-infrastructure suppliers | Identify the Czech industrial, institutional or integration partner needed for a specific application. |
| 5–6 November | Czech Retail Days, Prague — congress and Business Arena | Consumer brands, retail technology, logistics and service providers | Decide which retailer, distributor or operating team can test the offer. |
| 24–26 November | CZECHBUS, Prague | Bus and public-transport manufacturers, telematics and service-technology suppliers | Meet operators, vehicle suppliers or maintenance partners relevant to Czech fleets. |
Future Forces is a specialist defence and security event. Its programme can help a supplier identify contacts, but a fair meeting does not replace the qualification and procurement processes that may apply to a particular product. Czech Retail Days is a congress, not a general trade fair; its Business Arena and retail networking are the reasons it belongs in this business calendar. CZECHBUS is narrower still, making it valuable mainly when public transport or fleet technology is the actual route to market.
Dates to plan for in 2027
| Date | Event and location | Who should consider it | Purpose to define before visiting |
|---|---|---|---|
| 16–18 March | AMPER, Brno | Electrical engineering, electronics, energy and automation companies | Find component buyers, system integrators or energy-project partners. |
| 7–8 April | Stainless, Brno | Stainless-steel producers, processors and specialist equipment suppliers | Test demand with relevant material buyers and production partners. |
| 26–28 May | IDET, Brno | Defence and security technology suppliers | Map the Czech industrial and institutional route for a defined capability. |
| 8–10 June | URBIS, Brno | Smart-city, mobility, water, energy and municipal-technology companies | Find a city, operator or test environment with a real problem to solve. |
| 14–17 September | MSV, Brno | Manufacturing, automation, components and industrial-service companies | Build meetings with Czech buyers, integrators, suppliers or service partners. |
AMPER and Stainless are useful for quite different industrial offers. An electrical supplier should investigate AMPER's exhibitor and visitor profile; a corrosion-resistant steel company will find a more concentrated sector at Stainless. IDET serves a specialised defence and security market, while URBIS connects technology providers with cities and other public-sector actors.
URBIS is also worth watching after the Brno–Peachtree Corners Living Lab agreement announced at MSV 2026. The agreement identifies possible areas for real-world testing, including mobility and connectivity. It does not guarantee access to a pilot; a company should ask the operators what project route and conditions are actually available.
The organiser already lists MSV for September 2027. At this distance, its date is a planning anchor. Exhibitor lists, matchmaking and the professional programme will need a fresh check closer to the event.
Choose the event by the next decision
Before paying for a stand or flights, name the relationship the company needs in Czechia. Is the priority a first customer, distributor, installation partner, manufacturer, research collaborator or public-sector pilot? A broad fair can generate many introductions, but a narrow event often gives a better answer to a well-defined question.
Build a short target list from the current exhibitor and programme information. Check who is likely to attend, whether meetings can be arranged in advance, what language the relevant sessions use and which registration conditions apply. The useful outcome is a next step with an owner and a date, not simply a stack of contacts.
There is one additional regional option on 22 October 2026: CzechInvest's business and innovation support fair in Ústí nad Labem. It is most relevant to a company assessing a location or institutional contacts in the Ústí region. It is not a general sales exhibition, and a foreign company should confirm access to individual consultations with the organiser before travelling.
The main conclusion
Use the calendar as a shortlist, not an itinerary. Future Forces, CZECHBUS and IDET serve distinct security and mobility markets; AMPER, Stainless and MSV address different parts of industrial supply chains; Czech Retail Days and URBIS open other commercial and public-sector conversations. Select the event that fits the next decision, then verify its current terms and arrange meetings around that purpose.
