WEEE Authorised Representative in the Czech Republic

Kodo organises your Czech WEEE setup and reporting. We prepare the documents and reports from the product and sales data you provide and confirm. Add packaging and battery EPR under one local contact.

Start with a non-binding review of your products and Czech sales.

Who we help

Selling electrical products to Czech customers?

The service is designed primarily for foreign sellers supplying electrical equipment directly to Czech end users, through their own e-shop, marketplaces or direct business sales.

WEEE means waste electrical and electronic equipment. Producer responsibility covers the agreed registration, reporting and end-of-life arrangements for the equipment you place on the Czech market.

If a Czech distributor buys and resells your products, we first review the sales chain. Your country of establishment, product range and sales route determine the next steps.

What the starting WEEE fee covers

  • One producer, the Czech market and one electrical equipment scheme.
  • Up to 50 prepared, largely stable product items with documented specifications and weights. We confirm how catalogue items and variants are counted in your proposal.
  • Four reports per year where a quarterly schedule is agreed with the scheme.
  • Routine administration and changes within the agreed scope.

When we quote individually

Monthly reporting, historical corrections, substantial manual data preparation, frequent catalogue changes, integrations and special take-back logistics are assessed and quoted before the additional work starts.

Standard packaging onboarding is included in the packaging service. Battery scope depends on the assessed categories and confirmed contractual coverage.

We estimate external scheme fees and recycling contributions from your categories, weights, quantities and the applicable scheme terms before you confirm the scope.

Frequently asked questions

Questions before you start.

What does the client do, what does Kodo do and what does the scheme do?
You provide and confirm company, product and sales records and sign the required documents. Kodo reviews the records, prepares the agreed registration and reports and records evidence of filing. The selected compliance scheme handles its registration, reporting and collection arrangements under the applicable agreement.
Which equipment weight should we provide?
Provide documented equipment weight excluding packaging and batteries, with its unit and an explanation of what was weighed. Do not automatically exclude electrical accessories. If a weight is unknown, leave it blank and tell Kodo what evidence is missing; do not enter zero. Kodo confirms the reportable weight and classification.
Does uploading a file mean the report has been filed?
No. You send records for review; Kodo prepares a summary and requests missing information. You check and confirm the exact summary version. Kodo then files with the relevant scheme outside the portal and records evidence of submission and acceptance. An upload alone does not complete these steps.
Does a free portal account order WEEE representation?
No. General FAQs and guides are available after sign-in, but a paid service, written mandate, scheme agreement and registration are separate steps. Kodo confirms the agreed scope and coverage start date; creating an account does not appoint a representative or activate a paid service.
Who is this Czech WEEE service for?
Primarily foreign online sellers and manufacturers supplying electrical equipment directly to Czech end users, including business end users. We review your country of establishment and sales model before confirming the appointment and registration route. Sales through a Czech distributor need a separate review of the sales chain.
Does our packaging EPR registration cover electrical equipment?
Electrical equipment and batteries have their own EPR arrangements. Packaging registration with EKO-KOM does not establish WEEE representation. Kodo can coordinate the relevant streams through one contact, with the appointments and reporting kept separate.
What about built-in or included batteries?
We assess batteries separately from the electrical equipment. Please provide their type, chemistry, category, quantity and documented weight. The battery package is intended for straightforward standard portable batteries; other categories and complex products receive an individual proposal.
Are scheme fees and recycling contributions included?
The displayed amounts are Kodo’s representation and administration fees, excluding VAT. Compliance scheme fees and contributions for equipment, packaging and batteries are additional costs. We separate these in your proposal and estimate them using your categories, quantities and the applicable terms.
What if we already pay Kodo for packaging EPR?
For an existing standard EUR 250 packaging client, the proposed EUR 590 combined annual fee represents an annual increase of EUR 340. WEEE setup is additional. We agree the service dates and credit any applicable packaging payment already made before starting the combined scope.
Are all reports quarterly?
Reporting follows your actual scheme agreement. The starting WEEE fee assumes four reports per year where a quarterly schedule is agreed. Monthly reporting and other additional work are quoted individually. We confirm your data deadlines and the scheme’s submission deadlines during setup.
What product and sales records do you need?
Company details, a catalogue with technical specifications and documented equipment weights, battery information and records of Czech sales. You can share suitable existing exports and supporting documents. We agree the format and quote substantial manual data preparation separately.
Does the service cover CE conformity or other countries?
The offer covers the agreed Czech EPR work. Product conformity, including CE, RoHS and product safety, and registrations in other countries require separate arrangements.
