Build your Prague visit around one conversation you want to take further. Czech Space Week gives you a reason to start it; the city gives you places to continue it.

The tram climbs towards Hradčany, where one of the week’s most useful business addresses is the Czech Foreign Ministry’s Czernin Palace. Inside, the conversation moves from astronaut training to satellite data, startup funding and communications networks. Afterwards, you can stay in the neighbourhood for a Czech dinner or head down to the river for a recital at the Rudolfinum. Space2Business programme and venue

Czech Space Week runs from 2 to 8 November 2026, with events in Prague and elsewhere in Czechia. Its main business conference, Space2Business, takes place on 3–4 November. On 3 November, the organiser’s registration page showed the conference as full. If you already have a place, use the programme and meeting tools below. If you are already coming to Prague without one, plan independent meetings and choose public events with their own tickets. Festival calendar, conference registration

Which Space2Business sessions are worth your time?

Tuesday’s agenda gives a sense of the international scope. It includes a panel on Aleš Svoboda’s planned mission to the International Space Station, sessions on the space markets of Israel, Chile and the UAE, and discussions about how Central European companies can work with international suppliers and customers. The US company Vast, which develops commercial space stations, is this year’s general festival partner. Conference agenda, Vast partnership announcement

For registered delegates on Wednesday 4 November, the published agenda offers several useful routes through the day. Times are local:

  • 10:10 — Space Meets AI. Zaitra, UptimAI and Gofore are listed on the panel. Go with a specific question about where AI adds value: what data is available, what decision it supports and who checks its output.
  • 10:30 — Space commercialisation seminar. This runs alongside part of the AI session. Choose it if you want to understand how European Space Agency programmes can help develop a space-related product or bring technology into commercial use.
  • 13:30 — Startup innovations. The panel lists MeteoHawk, Volteek solutions, SkyUpdate and X-ENDER Space. Listen for the stage at which each team needs a customer, integration partner or test environment. The parallel Meet your ESA Delegate session requires a slot booked in advance through the event app.
  • 14:15 — Satellite connectivity. Useful for companies exploring how satellite links could work with terrestrial networks. Bring a use case with a location and an operating requirement: a remote facility, a moving fleet or a field team that needs coverage.
  • 15:00 — Space funding. The programme moves from incubation and public support to private investment. Use it to learn which milestone potential partners or investors want to see next.

The organiser directs delegates to create a profile and arrange one-to-one meetings through the event app. If you want to meet a manufacturer or integrator, describe the part, service or data you can provide and how it has already been tested. If you are evaluating a startup, ask what it has demonstrated and what it still needs to validate. A useful follow-up is a short technical call with the people who can assess the next step. Meeting instructions and programme

Prague is home to EUSPA, the EU Agency for the Space Programme. Its work includes EU satellite navigation services and helping organisations make practical use of space data. ESA is the European Space Agency; it is the organisation behind the business incubation and commercialisation programmes featured in the agenda. That distinction helps when looking for the right person: adopting Earth observation data for an existing business is a different conversation from developing and qualifying hardware for a mission. How to get to Czernin Palace and the other venues

Save the Czech names of your stops and venues. In particular, enter Černínský palác, Loretánské náměstí 5 rather than searching for Prague Castle. Confirm the attendee entrance in your registration instructions.

Starting point or destinationPublic transport to use
Prague Airport → Czernin PalaceFrom Terminal 1 or 2 take trolleybus 59 to Nádraží Veleslavín, then metro A to Malostranská and tram 22 uphill to Pohořelec. The palace is a short walk from the stop. The airport’s estimate of about 15 minutes applies to the trolleybus leg only. Airport transport, palace access
City centre → Czernin PalaceMake your way to Malostranská on metro A and take tram 22 towards Pohořelec. Check the direction and departure in the PID journey planner.
Czech Space Gala → Fanta BuildingUse Hlavní nádraží on metro C for Prague Main Station. If arriving from the airport and staying near the station, Airport Express goes there directly and uses a separate fare.
Next Stop: Space → STORY-BThe organiser directs visitors to Budějovická on metro C. Career event directions
DOX in HolešoviceTake metro C to Nádraží Holešovice and walk, or use a tram to Ortenovo náměstí. DOX visitor information

For the regular trolleybus, metro and tram network, a 90-minute Prague ticket costs CZK 46 in the PID Lítačka app or CZK 50 on paper at the standard fare. A 24-hour ticket costs CZK 140/150 and a 72-hour ticket CZK 340/350, app/paper respectively. An app ticket becomes valid one minute after activation. If you buy a paper ticket that requires stamping, validate it once at the start of the journey. PID 2026 fares, ticket validation

Staying in Karlín over the weekend? PID lists a tram closure between Florenc and Palmovka from early Saturday 7 November until early Monday 9 November, with diversions including line 23 and a daytime replacement bus, X3. Check the disruption notice before relying on a familiar route. For late airport arrivals, the airport lists night buses 907 and 910; use the timetable for your landing time. Airport night services

Where to continue the conversation over dinner

  • Kuchyň, Hradčanské náměstí 186/1. Stay on the castle side after Space2Business. The restaurant in Salm Palace serves Czech dishes and tank beer, with a terrace overlooking Prague. It lists daily opening from 11:30 to 23:00. It’s a natural choice when the group wants to go straight from the palace to dinner. Kuchyň
  • Strahov Monastic Brewery, Hradčany. For a more casual team meal, walk towards the monastery from Pohořelec. The brewery serves its own beer and Czech food; Prague City Tourism lists 10:00–22:00 daily. Strahov Monastic Brewery
  • Mlýnec, Novotného lávka 9. For a hosted dinner near Charles Bridge, choose this riverside restaurant with a contemporary menu rooted in Czech cooking. Dinner starts at 17:00 on weekdays and 17:30 at weekends. Book for your group and ask for a table suitable for conversation, especially if you are also going to a concert. Mlýnec reservations and hours

What to see after the meetings

Thursday 5 November: choose a piano recital or an evening of jazz. At 19:30 in the Rudolfinum, the Rudolf Firkušný Piano Festival presents Bruce Liu, replacing the originally announced Lukas Sternath. If you prefer a club setting, Prague Sounds presents Ondřej Pivec and Shabaka at La Fabrika in Holešovice, also at 19:30. The two events start at the same time, so pick the neighbourhood and the evening you want. Bruce Liu at the Rudolfinum, Prague Sounds at La Fabrika

Friday 6 November: a Czech recital by the river. Marek Kozák plays at 19:30 in the Rudolfinum’s Dvořák Hall. It fits a day of meetings in the centre, followed by an early dinner and a walk along the Vltava. Rudolf Firkušný Piano Festival

Through Sunday 8 November: Goethe’s Faust in a different medium. The DOX Centre for Contemporary Art in Holešovice is showing Radka Bodzewicz: FAUST, an exhibition inspired by Goethe, until the final Sunday of Czech Space Week. DOX lists 11:00–19:00, Tuesday to Sunday. If you choose Thursday’s Prague Sounds concert, you can make an afternoon and evening of Holešovice without going back across the city between them. DOX exhibitions, opening hours and directions

For a space-themed option outside the business programme, check Planetum’s public listings. Individual screenings indicate their audio languages and whether they have sold out. Choose a specific show before going to the planetarium.

A Prague plan for the time you have

Already registered for 4 November? Pick a morning session and protect an afternoon meeting slot. After the conference, leave time to walk through Hradčany and continue a useful conversation over dinner nearby.

In Prague without a conference place? Set up one meeting independently with a Czech company or research group that fits your work. If you have Thursday afternoon free, choose DOX and La Fabrika in Holešovice, or stay in the centre for dinner and the Rudolfinum. Check tickets for the evening you choose.

The main conclusion

Space2Business brings several kinds of space work into one room: satellite systems, services built on their data, and the people who finance and test new projects. Decide which part is relevant to your business, confirm access and use the visit to set up a concrete next conversation. Then give yourself enough time to enjoy Prague between appointments.
