An international EPR adviser can have several producers ready for the Czech market, each at a different stage. One is about to start selling. Another already has an EKO-KOM agreement and a quarterly report coming up. The partnership starts by giving each producer a clear next step and assigning responsibility for the first reporting period.

Kodo is registered with EKO-KOM as an authorised representative for packaging EPR in Czechia. We work with international compliance providers that want to keep coordinating their clients across markets while giving the Czech work a local owner. Each producer appoints Kodo in writing where representation is agreed. Czech packaging EPR representation

Who does what

TeamRole in the partnership
International partnerCoordinates the wider client relationship, introduces producers and shares the information it already holds. The partner can follow the progress of its assigned producers in the portal.
ProducerConfirms its company and signatory details, provides accurate packaging and Czech delivery records, and confirms the source data for each reporting period.
KodoReviews the Czech sales route, agrees the local scope, handles the applicable EKO-KOM process and manages quarterly reporting and correspondence within the agreed appointment.

Direct contact with the producer is part of the partnership. If a delivery file combines Czech sales and exports, for example, we need to speak with the person who knows how the warehouse recorded those deliveries. The partner can continue to coordinate the programme while Kodo resolves the reporting question with the source.

Start with a group that tests both routes

Consider a first group with two kinds of producer. A brand preparing to sell directly to Czech customers needs its company and packaging records reviewed and the applicable appointment and registration prepared. An established seller with an EKO-KOM number needs a review of its existing agreement and any open reporting period. We establish who will file the next statement and when the handover takes effect. EKO-KOM has a process for replacing an existing agreement with one involving an authorised representative. EKO-KOM procedure for authorised representatives

Start with a company name, country, VAT or registration number, named contact, Czech sales route and an initial estimate of packaging quantities. For a producer already in the system, include its EKO-KOM number, agreement and the next known reporting deadline. We can then sort the group by what each producer actually needs.

Partners can add companies individually or prepare a structured CSV for bulk onboarding. Each producer receives an invitation to its own workspace to review its details and supply the supporting records. The partner can follow which cases are ready and which still need input. Try the reporting handover before expanding

For the first quarter, agree which records the producer will supply, in what format, and who can answer questions about them. A usable export should connect actual Czech deliveries with the relevant packaging variants, materials and weights. If a producer changes a carton partway through the quarter, the records should show which deliveries used each version.

Kodo checks the evidence, calculates or verifies the reportable quantities within the agreed scope and prepares the statement. The producer confirms the source data before filing. A successful first cycle gives both teams a repeatable handover, a contact for exceptions and a clear record of who is responsible for the next action.

Agree what the price covers

Kodo’s public standard fee for a typical small foreign e-shop with clear records is €250 per producer per year, excluding VAT, subject to review of the scope. EKO-KOM’s system fee and material-based packaging charges are separate. For a group, we agree terms after reviewing the number of producers, their existing registrations, the quality of the records and the work required. We quote more complex calculations, historical corrections or bespoke data integrations separately when needed. Czech packaging EPR pricing and scope

Tell us about your first group

For an initial conversation, send three things. Tell us how many producers you would start with, how many already have an EKO-KOM agreement and how your team currently collects packaging and Czech delivery data. We can use that to propose a first group, a division of work and the scope for a quotation. Discuss an EPR partnership with Kodo
