Give the evening one clear shape: a relaxed meal and a walk, or a performance with a booked seat. Brno offers both during MSV week.
An evening outside the exhibition halls can bring another side of the city into a business trip. It can also be a comfortable setting for a conversation with a contact you met during the day, provided the venue suits the purpose.
The ideas below are for 6–9 October 2026. Performance dates and venue details were checked against the operators' own programmes on 2 October. Ticket prices and remaining seats should be confirmed when booking.
An easy first look at the centre
For a flexible evening, choose a walk through the centre followed by dinner. One possible route takes in Zelný trh, the exterior of the Old Town Hall on Radnická Street, and Petrov, where the Cathedral of St Peter and St Paul stands above the city.
These landmarks are shown on TIC Brno's official English city map. This is an outdoor route suggestion: tower visits, exhibitions and underground tours have separate hours and admission conditions. Decide how far to walk according to the weather, energy and any mobility needs; the route up to Petrov involves a climb.
Czech food at Lokál U Caipla
Lokál U Caipla on Kozí Street serves Czech-style food and beer. Its published opening hours are Monday–Saturday, 11:00–24:00, covering the four MSV evenings. Check the menu for your date and reserve if you are bringing a group.
The restaurant's closing time does not establish the kitchen's last-order time. Confirm this if you expect to eat late. The venue is an option for an informal dinner; ask about the setting and seating if the meal needs to support a particular business conversation.
Address: Kozí 115/3, 602 00 Brno, Czech Republic.

Performances during the fair
| Evening | A listed option | Venue | Start |
|---|---|---|---|
| Tuesday 6 October | Mother, by Karel Čapek — calendar marked EN SUB | Theatre Reduta | 19:00 |
| Tuesday 6 October | Specula Sonorum | Besední dům | 19:00 |
| Wednesday 7 October | Complex Sounds: Piano and Beyond | Besední dům | 19:00 |

The National Theatre Brno calendar explicitly marks Mother on 6 October with English subtitles. For Carmen on 9 October, the production page states French performance with Czech, English and German subtitles and gives an end time of 22:10. Check the language arrangements for the other performance before choosing it.
Filharmonie Brno's concert calendar lists Specula Sonorum on 6 October. The direct pages for Complex Sounds on 7 October and Partiels on 8 October confirm Besední dům and their 19:00 starts. These are new-music events, so read the programme to see whether it matches your interests.
Follow the venue's own ticket link to check prices and available seats. A programme listing confirms a scheduled performance, not current ticket availability.

Choose the version that suits the day
A flexible evening: return to the centre, take a short outdoor walk and have dinner. This works when the last fair conversation may run over or the group wants to decide the evening together.
A music evening: book one of the 6–8 October concerts, then arrange dinner before or after it according to the venue's published finish time and the restaurant's kitchen hours. Leave time for the journey from the exhibition centre and, if needed, a stop at your hotel. Our accommodation guide compares locations near the fair with central Brno.
A Friday opera evening: if you are staying after the fair's final day, Carmen offers a dated option with English subtitles. Coordinate your return travel or overnight stay with its scheduled finish.
Getting back after the event
Use the DPMB timetable for the actual departure time from the exhibition centre and for the trip back to your hotel. The special MSV services have their own operating windows; use a dated route search for an evening journey. See our transport guide for the main arrival options, fair connections and city ticket choices.
Book one fixed cultural event if that is what you want, or keep the evening open for dinner and the city. The choice should leave enough room for the working day and a comfortable return to your accommodation.
How Kodo can help
Kodo helps international industrial and technology companies prepare the commercial and operational side of entering Czechia. We support early market validation, partner mapping, local positioning, English and Czech communication, web content and coordination of the first implementation steps. If a conversation at the fair develops into a Czech market question, we can help research the relevant companies and prepare the next commercial steps.
For legal, tax, regulatory, certification and investment-incentive matters, companies should work with qualified specialists and the responsible authorities.
